DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT
The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) exists to deliver the Greater Cambridge City Deal, as described in the agreement with the Government. This often requires collecting and using the appropriate personal information collected either in person, over the phone or via the e-forms on our website to inform and guide decision making, and to monitor use and opinion of the services/facilities that fall under our remit.
As a project delivery body, comprised of a number of agencies with Cambridgeshire County Council as the lead authority, the Greater Cambridge Partnership acts as part of the County Council for the purposes of Data Protection.

The information we collect is stored and used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations .
We may sometimes have to share the information you provide to us with third parties. This may be done, for example, for the purposes of analysing consultation responses, for obtaining service updates relating to an enquiry from you, or as part of the decision making process relating to GCP projects. This will always be done in accordance with your Data Protection rights.
SURVEYS AND CONSULTATIONS
If you respond to a survey or a consultation, we may publish the response you have submitted.
If we do so, we will redact any personal information (names, address etc), as well as any other information we believe may be reasonably expected to identify you.
If you provide information about another person, we any also redact anything we think may identify them.
GCP EVENTS - PHOTOS AND FILMING
We often capture video footage (including audio) and photographs of our events.
These assets may be shared on social media, on our website, and used in other promotional material (including printed leaflets). Use of these images will usually be within the context of the event; either directly promoting it, or referencing it in a more general way (for example; using images of the event in a report on community engagement.)
We may also share assets with local media, and with the organisations that make up the Greater Cambridge Partnership, both to promote the event, or for use in general referencing..

If you are attending one of our events, and do not want to appear in any pictures or videos, or want to ask a question about how your information will be used, please let us know at the event, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will always ask for your consent before we take any photo or footage that specifically identifies you i.e. where you are either the sole subject, or one of the main subjects, of the image or footage
You can withdraw your consent for use of a photo or footage you appear in at any time, although printed documents in circulation may not be recalled, and images/footage that has been shared on social media or across the internet may no longer be within our control.
If you have any concerns about how the the Greater Cambridge Partnership is using or storing your data, you can contact us at email@example.com.

OTHER TOOLS AND PLATFORMS
Some of the tools and platforms we use, such as social media, may have their own Privacy and Data Protection policies. We strongly advise that you check those policies when visiting those platforms. While the Greater Cambridge Partnership makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the tools it selects for use in public engagement comply with the relevant Data Protection legislation, users/visitors should ensure that they are comfortable with the way in which their data is used.
Greater Cambridge Partnership may use the segmentation and advertising tools provided by social media platforms to highlight our posts to those users we think will be most interested in the information we are sharing.
When contacting us, you may be asked for personal information such as Name, Address, Postcode, Date of Birth etc.
This information may be collected:
- to fulfil your request for information or services
- as input to improving our site
- as part of the process of consultation
But will only be used in those activities necessary to provide you with the service you have requested or require.
You will be advised of any additional purposes or uses at the time the information is collected.
We also operate a number of social media profiles. Interactions, conversations, and mentions of GCP on these platforms may also be recorded as part of our ongoing communications work, and we may keep a record of this for review.
You retain the right to request access to any information we hold that relates to you, or to ask us to to stop processing your information, as guaranteed by the General Data Protection Regulations .
