The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) exists to deliver the Greater Cambridge City Deal, as described in the agreement with the Government. This often requires collecting and using the appropriate personal information collected either in person, over the phone or via the e-forms on our website to inform and guide decision making, and to monitor use and opinion of the services/facilities that fall under our remit.

As a project delivery body, comprised of a number of agencies with Cambridgeshire County Council as the lead authority, the Greater Cambridge Partnership acts as part of the County Council for the purposes of Data Protection.
The Cambridgeshire County Council Data Protection registration number is: Z4849790

You can read the Cambridgeshire County Council Privacy statement on the County Council website privacy pages

You can find more details on Data Protection and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) at the website of the Information Commissioner's Office (the ICO).

The information we collect is stored and used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations .

We may sometimes have to share the information you provide to us with third parties.  This may be done, for example, for the purposes of analysing consultation responses, for obtaining service updates relating to an enquiry from you, or as part of the decision making process relating to GCP projects.  This will always be done in accordance with your Data Protection rights.

Some of the tools and platforms we use, such as social media, may have their own Privacy and Data Protection policies.  We strongly advise that you check those policies when visiting those platforms.  While the Greater Cambridge Partnership makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the tools it selects for use in public engagement comply with the relevant Data Protection legislation, users/visitors should ensure that they are comfortable with the way in which their data is used.

Greater Cambridge Partnership may use the segmentation and advertising tools provided by social media platforms to highlight our posts to those users we think will be most interested in the information we are sharing.

You can find links to the various social media platform cookie policies on our Cookies on our Website page.
If you have any concerns regarding the tools and platforms we use, please contact us via our online form or via our email address: contactus@greatercambridge.org.uk

When contacting us, you may be asked for personal information such as Name, Address, Postcode, Date of Birth etc.

This information may be collected:

  • to fulfil your request for information or services
  • as input to improving our site
  • as part of the process of consultation

But will only be used in those activities necessary to provide you with the service you have requested or require.

You will be advised of any additional purposes or uses at the time the information is collected.

We also operate a number of social media profiles.  Interactions, conversations, and mentions of GCP on these platforms may also be recorded as part of our ongoing communications work, and we may keep a record of this for review.

You retain the right to request access to any information we hold that relates to you, or to ask us to to stop processing your information, as guaranteed by the General Data Protection Regulations .
