From the 4th February to 31st March 2019, we ran a public consultation on our proposals to improve public transport from Cambourne to Cambridge. This consultation focused on phase 2 of the route – from Madingley Mulch roundabout to Cambourne.

We asked for your views on how we can deliver faster and more reliable bus services, together with high-quality cycling and walking facilities. The consultation asked for views on three options for an improved public transport route; one entirely off-road, and two on-road options. In addition, people were asked their views on two options for a new Park and Ride in order to provide more capacity to the existing Madingley Road site which is now no longer big enough to cope with the increasing demand of a growing city.

Our independent research team have put together the findings from this second consultation in a report that is now available below. A decision on an end to end preferred route is expected to be taken by the Executive Board in the Autumn
