Councillor Lewis Herbert will take over as interim Chair of the Greater Cambridge Partnership’s Executive Board until a new permanent Chair is elected in July.
Former chairman Francis Burkitt stood down in May and did not seek re-election as a South Cambridgeshire District Councillor in the local elections and so, as Vice-Chairman, Cambridge City Council Leader Cllr Herbert will temporarily take on the role.
The Executive Board meets on 4 July where members will elect a new chair and vice-chair. The Joint Assembly meets for the first time after the elections on 14 June.
