The papers for the autumn meeting of the Greater Cambridge Partnership’s Executive Board have been published today.

The Board will consider reports and set out the next steps on key transport schemes for the region.

  • Making Connections: Members will reflect on the discussions of the recent Joint Assembly meeting and consider whether the preferred option for the Outline Business Case responds appropriately to the issues raised during the consultation and meets the objectives of the City Deal programme.
  • Future Investment Strategy: A report outlining how rising inflation has affected the GCP’s programme will be presented to members. The board will be recommended to develop phase two of the Cambridge South East Transport busway scheme and Foxton Travel Hub to the point they are ‘planning ready’ before both schemes are paused while the GCP seeks alternative funding to enable the projects to be delivered in the future.
  • Waterbeach to Cambridge (W2C): The revised central busway route and a new travel hub to the west of the A10 will be recommended to the Board as the preferred route for the W2C scheme. Members will also be asked to hold a public consultation on a revised route for the Waterbeach Greenway.
  • Cambridge Eastern Access (CEA): The board will consider the assembly discussions and the findings to a consultation on the CEA scheme before considering the proposed phasing of the project which aims to improve walking, cycling and bus journeys along the Newmarket Road.

The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at South Cambridgeshire District Council at 4pm on Thursday 28 September.

It will be live streamed on the GCP’s YouTube channel.
