Data protection statement

As a project delivery body, comprised of a number of agencies with Cambridgeshire County Council as the lead, the Greater Cambridge Partnership acts as part of the county council for the purposes of data protection

Delivering our city deal often requires collecting and using personal information collected either in-person, over the phone, or via online tools, to inform and guide decision making, and to monitor the projects we're delivering.

We may sometimes have to share the information you provide to us with third parties. This may be done, for example, for the purposes of analysing consultation responses, for obtaining service updates relating to an enquiry from you, or as part of the decision-making process relating to GCP projects. This will always be done in accordance with your data protection rights.

Personal information

You may be asked for personal information like your name or address when you get in touch with us

This information will only be used in those activities necessary to provide you with the service you have requested or require.

You retain the right to request any information we hold that relates to you, or to ask us to stop processing your information, as guaranteed by data protection regulations.

Surveys

If you respond to a survey or consultation, we may publish the response you’ve submitted

If we do this, we'll retract any personal information.

This will include names, addresses, and any other information we believe could be reasonably expected to identify you. If you provide information about another person, we'll also redact anything we think could identify them.

Photo and video

We often capture photo and video footage of our meetings and events

We share these assets on social media, on our website, and in communications materials.

We may also share them with local media, and the organisations that make up the Greater Cambridge Partnership.

If you're attending an event or meeting and don't want to appear in any photos or videos, or have any questions about how your information will be used, please let us know at the event or meeting or email: hello@greatercambridge.org.uk.

Our public meetings may be recorded and broadcast on public channels. These meetings are subject to government guidance.

Mailing lists

Our mailing lists are stored securely and managed in accordance with data protection legislation

Our email subscription system offers protection through your rights and has been approved for use by a number of public sector bodies including Cambridgeshire County Council.

We'll only use your data to share information with you that you've requested or agreed to receive.

Social media and other platforms

Other online platforms we use will have their own privacy and data protection policies.

Please check those policies when visiting the relevant platforms.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure the platforms we choose comply with the necessary data protection legislation, users should make sure they're comfortable with the way in which their data's used.
