The length of the greenway is approximately 9.5km, connecting Haslingfield, Hauxton, Grantchester and Cambridge.
We are currently preparing the final details of our planning application for the route. Subject to approval, we aim to start construction in 2027.
Haslingfield Greenway will create safer walking, wheeling and cycling between Cambridge and the western villages of Haslingfield, Hauxton and Grantchester. In addition, and subject to Executive Board decision, the Greenway will link to Barton Greenway through connections from Grantchester as well as within Cambridge on Barton Road.
Part of the proposals includes a new and improved active travel bridge over the M11 to support the connection from Haslingfield to Grantchester.
All of our greenways routes will have signage and wayfinding, which will help people who are not familiar with the route.

Streetlighting will be upgraded throughout the route to improve safety.
