Current construction work – Shepreth
As part of our ongoing works, road resurfacing and lining has been carried out on Fowlmere Road between the Barron’s Green junction and Angle Lane. New road markings and lining have also been completed between Barron’s Green and Shepreth Railway Station.
We have largely completed works at Barron’s Green where a raised table crossing is under construction. this will slow vehicle speeds while providing a level, accessible surface for people crossing the road. We will return to complete the crossing after the electrical cables for the streetlights have been installed.
Temporary road closures and diversions:
Monday 13 July to October 2026 – Fowlmere Road closure
Fowlmere Road will be closed with no vehicle access to the A10. Vehicles will be able to use all other roads in Shepreth village. Access to properties along Fowlmere Road will be maintained at all times, but vehicles must approach from the village. This closure is required to facilitate works on the A10. Once installed, the closure will be in place until all works are completed on site. An interactive map showing the diversion routes is below.
Monday 13 July to October 2026 – Shepreth Road closure
Shepreth Road will be closed with no access to the A10. Vehicles will be able to use all other roads in Fowlmere village. This closure is part of the works being carried out on the A10. Please note, there will be no left or right turn from the A10 onto Fowlmere Road or Shepreth Road. An interactive map showing the diversion routes is below.
