Delivered from June 2020 to August 2021, the scheme included:
- Closure of Mill Road bridge to through private motor traffic
- Continued access across the bridge for people walking, cycling and buses
- Alternative access routes for residents, businesses and deliveries
- Monitoring and review of the scheme's impacts
- Public consultation to inform future decisions about Mill Road
