Trial bus timetable (1080 x 612 px)

About bus stops during the Connector trial

During the trial, the Connector autonomous bus is scheduled to stop at every designated stop along the route by default. This is to help test the service under real-world conditions and ensures passengers know where they can board and alight.

However, if no passengers are waiting to get on or off the bus, the safety driver may choose to override the stop using the onboard system and continue the journey. This is a standard part of the vehicle’s trial operation.

In the future, the system may be refined to stop only when necessary, based on passenger demand.

Please note – this is a trial service

Connector is a self-driving bus service currently operating as part of a live technology trial. While we aim to run the service in line with the published timetable, there may be occasional disruptions due to scheduled maintenance, system updates, or operational testing.

This means the bus may not run every day - even during listed timetable hours. We’ll always do our best to share updates in advance on our website and on @GreaterCambs, but please be aware that live service information may not always be available.

If Connector is not operating when you need to travel, we recommend using the U bus service provided by Whippet, which serves many of the same locations. You can find the U bus timetable here: https://www.whippetbus.co.uk/times/universal/u1/

Thank you for being part of this innovative trial and helping to shape the future of public transport in Cambridge.
