Cambourne to Cambridge: latest

The Cambourne to Cambridge team is preparing an application for a Transport & Works Act Order (TWAO). Such an order would authorise a guided transport scheme, such as a busway, to be built. The application would be made to the Department for Transport (DfT).

What's currently happening?

The TWAO application documents are currently being finalised for submission to the DfT.

We are now publishing final draft documents before our submission in the new year. These documents can be found at the bottom of the page.

Next steps

We are planning to submit a TWAO application to the DfT in 2024. It’s likely that a public inquiry will be called following the submission.
