Milton Road area resident parking scheme

The Milton Road area scheme was successfully installed in December 2025.

Cambridgeshire County Council will share details of the scheme and how to apply for permits ahead of it going live in early 2026.

What's next?

Once the residents’ parking scheme is in place, we will carry out a six-month review to assess the impact it has had.

Parking surveys will be carried out before the scheme is implemented and again six months after installation for comparison.

There’ll be analysis of traffic flow and road capacity. Feedback from residents, businesses and other stakeholders will be carefully reviewed and compiled into a report to be discussed with local members and presented to the Cambridge Joint Area Committee with any necessary recommendations.
