2017-19

Whittlesford was initially identified as a potential site for a pilot Rural Travel Hub in the Feasibility Study report, published in 2017.

Due to the number of planned developments in the area, the Executive Board recommended a master planning exercise be undertaken for the village. The Executive Board also agreed to fund 200 additional cycle parking spaces at Whittlesford Parkway station.

The Whittlesford Parkway Masterplan was carried out by Tetra Tech (Formerly WYG) in 2018;

The Whittlesford Parkway Transport Masterplan consultation, based on a range of schemes proposed for the local area, ended on 22 July 2019.

At its meeting on 19 February 2020 the Executive Board agreed to support a draft delivery plan for the Whittlesford Station Transport Investment Strategy as a basis for further engagement with key stakeholders.
