Linton Greenway

A safer and better route for people walking, cycling, between Linton, Hildersham, Babraham and Cambridge.

Linton Greenway supports easy, reliable journeys to workplaces, education, shops and key transport hubs. It provides direct links to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the Sawston and Melbourn Greenways, and the Chisholm Trail.

Wider footways and verges will be upgraded to form a dedicated path for cyclists, pedestrians and, where feasible, horse‑riders, providing users with space separated from the carriageway. An improved footbridge across the A11, complete with new ramps and stud lighting, will make crossing the road safer and more convenient.

Under development

Section 3 involves further design work on the bridge crossing the A11. As this scheme is closely connected with the proposals for a new busway and travel hub, it will be taken forward as part of the CSET Phase 2 proposals.
